Military Casa – Spring, 2026

We hope you enjoyed the holiday season, we did. For the first time in 10 years working with the Military we didn’t celebrate with our service members, instead we were with Dale and Emily as she was expecting on Christmas Day…. yet little Ana didn’t arrive for two more weeks; so we missed her arrival. Babies are born when babies are born. Before we arrived at their doorstep we dropped into Mexico so Todd could finish his implant tooth, which saved us around $5K. We also want to update you to let you know that our Board of Directors has placed us on a three month sabbatical. Penny has carried a lot of stress with the significant loss of her parents, and just this spring, we lost Todd’s Grandma whom Penny was just as close to as Todd. She lived a little over an hour away from us and we made monthly visits. We started to see decline in Penny’s fine motor skills with her right arm and leg, so we had multiple medical tests done to rule out all the big scary possibilities, and yet, no doctor knows what is causing this decline. Penny is working with a physical therapist and we have been attending biblical counseling with a tremendous organization here called Christian Life Ministries. Please pray as she rests (physically & mentally), we are both wondering if it’s stress induced.

In the meantime, Penny continues to text her ladies to stay in touch, occasionally visiting one on one. But ministry continues onward without much of a hiccup. At this juncture of their training, our Airmen are taking turns hosting our regular get togethers at their homes, utilizing hospitality and making a meal. They are leading Bible Study and discussion, then splitting into men and women groups to go over their leadership year goals and pray for one another. Todd has been attending as an observer, but they are leading everything! We are super proud of them and know that when they PCS (permanent change of station) they have the skills to continue Military Casa wherever they go! All paid for with your tax dollars!

As always, here are some pictures to help you see what is going on. Please pray for healing, wisdom, and a new normal for Penny. Pray for our airmen and pray that Todd knows how to best lead concerning these challenges. Thank you for praying for us all and thank you for your partnership support in this ministry. We are a team.

Thank you for taking the time to read and view the Lord’s ministry to the Airmen at Ellsworth AFB! We appreciate you!! Keep praying, in fact, would you take a second and pray for all of us right this moment? Blessings!
